Small-Scale Multi-Unit Housing (SSMUH) is a new way to in-fill density in residential neighbourhoods that were previous zoned exclusively for Single Family Residences (SFR). The Province of British Columbia has mandated that certain municipalities modify their Zoning By-laws to conform to these new requirements. The deadline for municipalities to enact changes to their Zoning By-laws was 30 June 2024.
All population and housing totals and projections for each municipality was taken from their respective, most recent Official Community Plans. Documents, links, and legislation change over time. Do your own Due Diligence.
